November Updates

Hello Everyone, Here's an update for November! We will have one more meeting this semester on November 21st at 5 PM in CR 162.  Join us as well celebrate all the things we accomplished this semester.  Since we have some of our officers leaving us in the Spring, we will be entailing what positions will be opening up.  STEM Festival on October 27th was a blast.  We had four different demonstrations running at the same time! There was an opportunity to play with oobleck, a 3D printing demonstration, a trebuchet and catapult display, and the children has a chance to make a hexaflexagon.  Here's some examples of what we accomplished: Thanks so much to all our volunteers who came out to support us for this event!  We couldn't have done it without all of you.  The next event that your club is getting prepared for is STEM by the Bay at the Bay Pines STEM Center in February! Next meeting Rescheduled for October 17th

   This is rather last minute, but today's meeting is going to be rescheduled for October 17th, due to your president having surgery yesterday.     At the next meeting, we will be going over and practicing the activities we will be doing at our table for the SPC STEM Festival.  We also have a new volunteer event that will take place on October 23rd.     We are also switching gears a little bit and we have an exciting new proposal we will be announcing, so look forward to that as well.

Meeting September 26th

Hey Everyone, We have a general meeting this Wednesday, the 26th at 4:30. We will be meeting in CR 191 to catch up and tell about volunteer opportunities. Then, we'll be moving over to CR 162 for a small demonstration in Autodesk Inventor making a name tag!

Next Meeting - September 12th

     Hey Everyone,      Our next meeting is coming up in two weeks! We will be listening to project proposals on our Fall semester and year projects.  We like our projects to positively impact the community in some way.  For the proposal presentation you have to come up with the following things to present: A visual representation of some kind (a flyer or PowerPoint presentation) Estimate of items and their cost How it will positively impact your community (Yearly Only) Outside source of funding      We will also be starting off the meeting introducing the board members for this year's club and having a contest for which group can build the highest structure.  There will be a co prize for the winning team!       I hope to see you all there!
